Quảng Phú Cầu incense village is a photographer’s dream. In fact, many travel there while visiting Hanoi in Vietnam as it is just an hour out of town. Suzie Weiss got this one spot on. The contrast between the rich red of the incense sticks to the weathered straw and bamboo of the nón lá hat—makes this an incredible shot, and a little unlucky not to be the winner.

Do you ever look at an image and start imagining music to go along with it? With Paul Fencaros’ photograph of Volcán de Fuego in Guatemala we’re imagining a dramatic film score—Lord of the Rings sort of stuff.
The placing of the subject is almost too good to be true, alone and exploring. We can only imagine their view.
It might not have the technical quality of a couple of other entries, but Paul has captured an awe-inspiring moment. It makes us want to drop everything and get to South America, to explore the volcanos, mountains, rivers and jungles.
It’s a worthy winner of our Frame Your View competition.

Go white water rafting they said. It’ll be fun they said. Peter Coleman totally soaks up the unexpected saturations you get while rafting—here in the somewhat unlikely rafting destination of the Grand Canyon, where most would generally associate with dry land.

Symmetry isn’t everything in a photo, but it is bloody nice. Milford Sound / Piopiotahi is a bucket list destination for many people and George Stawicki made his way to New Zealand to tick it off his list. From the rich hues of the sunset sky, to the dramatic peaks of the mountains and the calm waters below, George captured the whole shebang.

If you were a student at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea, surely you’d be forgiven if you were late to a lecture due to having to walk up so many steps and take so many snaps. Big statement, but we don't think we've ever seen a more aesthetically pleasing place of learning.
