SALTY BARREL HOT TUBS
I watched MTV Cribs as a kid and remember Lil Wayne having a hot tub smack-bang in the middle of his living room. His living room!? How outrageous. A hot tub doesn’t belong there.
Fast forward to 2023 and we can all be Lil Wayne, thanks to Salty Barrel Hot Tubs. These wood-fired hot tubs can be picked up and placed anywhere—in your living room, out camping, top of Everest —you name it.
The tubs are eco-friendly given they don’t require electricity. A spiralled-coil holds a woodfire, which we guess doubles as a neo-modern fire pit. The coil is connected via two tubes to the tub, which sucks cold water from the bottom of the tub into the bottom inlet of the coil which starts a steady flow of heated water. All without a pump. Eat ya heart out, Wayne.

DJI OSMO ACTION 4
When the legends at DJI say that they’ve got something new, it’s time to listen.
These guys are machines. They only released the DJI Osmo 3 a few months ago, and they’ve already followed that up with the DJI Osmo Action 4.
It’s got 360-degree HorizonSteady stabilisation mode – meaning it doesn’t lose its shit when twisting and turning, or doing mad kickflips. The great thing about the DJI Osmo Action 4 is that it compensates for poor lighting situations really, really well, meaning you can keep shooting as the sun goes down on the mountain or the beach.
It also boasts a whopping two and a half hours of battery life—longer than comparable cameras on the market—and the battery is apparently freeze-resistant, which is handy if you’re in the Arctic.
This is an excellent choice for vlogging, adventure sports, trekking, and anything where lighting/timing is fickle.

LOS FRONTIERES WHISKIES
Best drank on top of a mountain, learning a new language or paired with foreign foods.
The gang at Los Frontieres are all about handcrafted, super premium booze that travels with you. Their runs are small, like super small, which means every bottle is curated to perfection. And when they're gone, they’re gone forever.
Right now they’ve got a Tasman Series happening. The Muscat Cask is described as “Frank Sinatra meets Nina Simone in pure liquid form”, while the Apple Brandy is for the experienced palate—”we bottled this fella HOT, Nelly made a song about it.” They’ve even got playlists to match every drop. These boys have thought of everything.

MOODY BEANIE
“All other beanies can get fucked in my opinion.” — Ellen, Moody Customer 2023
These extremely rad, very comfy, exceptionally warm beanies are produced by Melbourne locals, Moody Incense. Yes, the Moody team also make smelly sticks. But let’s not get distracted, we’re here to talk headwarmers. These beanies are FairTrade certified and totally eco-friendly, made sustainably from 100% Repreve® Yarn (a recycled fibre from discarded water bottles). You know, like the ones littering your favourite beach.
But are they soft? Heck yeah. Are they cosy? Without a doubt. Will they give you an air of moral superiority? Most definitely, they’re ethically made. Perfect for a next cheeky snow weekend or a week’s hiking in Nepal. You name the outdoor adventure, Moody has got your noggin’ covered.

TIMEX EXPEDITION NORTH FREE DIVE
The humble watch is making a comeback.
No one wants to spend any more time than they need to on their phone, especially on TikTok, where time is sucked viciously from our lives and funnelled into a strange portal of cat videos and weird dances, never to be seen again.
Timex watches don’t do that, they just tell you the time. The Expedition North Free Dive is solar-powered, has a strap made of #tide ocean material® and still works 50 metres underwater. Your iPhone can't do that.
It looks cool, it’s perfect for hiking, it’s perfect when you’re in the water. It’s perfect for the adventurer. Watches > phones.
