INSTA360 GO ULTRA
We thought the GO Ultra would be a fun little extra in our kit, but it’s slowly muscled its way into becoming our GO-to camera.
Out of the box it’s barely there; a feather-light 53g unit that disappears in your pocket yet manages to churn out 4K video at up to 60fps thanks to its decent-sized sensor and handy AI-boosted processing.
Stepping up from Insta360’s older pills-and-clips vibe, this one leans into versatility: throw it on a magnet pendant, slap it on a helmet, or clip it into the pod with its little 2.5-inch flip screen (perfect for framing yourself on the go). Battery life feels impressively generous too, you get about 70 minutes standalone, and up to 200 minutes with the Action Pod helping out.
And the microSD slot is a game changer. No weird internal storage quirks, just swap cards and keep shooting. It’s waterproof enough for splashy adventures and rugged enough that I’ve dusted it off more times than I’d like to admit.
Points off: it can warm up on longer recordings, so for marathon sessions you’ll still want a backup battery bank. But for travel, POV shots, and spontaneous moments? It’s become our little must-have sidekick.

HAPPITAT ADVENTURE PARK
I didn’t know what to expect when I rolled up to Happitat Adventure Park, but an hour in and I was hooked.
Perched 400 metres on Binna Burra Land (surrounded by the Lamington National Park valley), this place is full‑on adrenaline immersion. I started with the Arête Via Ferrata, clinging to iron rungs along the cliff face, while trying to listen to our guide’s instructions over my hammering heart. By the time I hit the Total Exposure Ultimate Zipline, I was flying over rainforest like a human drone, and honestly, it was better than any rollercoaster I’ve been on (yes, including Crush’s Coaster at Disneyland Paris).
This place isn’t just about adrenaline though. The rainforest feels alive. Birds, leaves, the scent of earth, all of it makes the park feel like it’s more than a collection of ziplines. By the end of my time here, I’d pushed my limits, laughed in the face of my own terror, and felt like I’d actually conquered something.

ANTIGRAVITY A1 DRONE
If you think all drones look (and feel) the same, you haven’t flown the Antigravity A1 drone yet.
This isn’t just another quadcopter to tick off a checklist, it’s a flight-stick-free, goggles-on plunge into immersive aerial storytelling that feels more like you’re actually inside your footage, rather than just watching it. At its heart is a dual-lens system that captures every direction in crisp 8K 360 video, so yes, every angle in your landscape, surf break or festival set is preserved in a single sweep. No blind spots, and no reshoots.
The magic combo here is the one-hand grip controller married to 360 vision goggles: point where you want to go, tilt your head to look around, and the drone delivers what your eyes ask for, not the other way round. Traditional joysticks suddenly feel archaic.
And at just under 249g, it dodges heavy-handed regulations in many places while still giving you up to ~25–39 minutes of flight and a huge 360° view you can edit after landing.
The result is footage that is totally cinematic. Except you didn’t have to setup for hours. Now that’s something we can get around.

SARAAN SANCTUARIES
Song Saa Private Island has been quietly rewriting the rules of luxury travel for over a decade, but with Saraan Sanctuaries, it’s taking wellbeing to an entirely new level.
Nestled across the previously untouched island of Koh Bong and the quiet corners of Koh Ouen, Saraan isn’t a spa update or a menu tweak because it’s way more than that. Think barefoot jungle rituals, sunrise moments over the Gulf of Thailand, and treatments rooted in local Khmer traditions, all designed to remind guests that true wellness comes from harmony with nature, culture, and community.
The offering is as sensory as it is intentional. Guests can explore the island’s flora with a resident botanist, learning how lemongrass, turmeric, and mangroves are transformed into teas, scrubs, and natural dyes. Experiences range from salt room sound therapy to herbal steam rituals, Shirodhara oil treatments, Vichy showers, and curated journeys like Digital Detox, Sacred Sleep, and Couple Connection. Each is set in jungle sanctuaries, overwater salas, or open-air pavilions, letting the island’s ecosystem lead the way.
Saraan embodies the next evolution of regenerative travel, where luxury isn’t about gadgets or gimmicks, but about slowing down, reconnecting with the land, and redefining what it means to truly care for yourself and the world around you.
